Values

Methodology

TRYSTOMATIC uses one number per asset so trades are easy to compare. Player values are FantasyCalc market consensus blended with hand adjustments. Pick values currently follow that market baseline — not a black-box “proprietary” model.

Where values come from

Baseline dynasty values come from FantasyCalc, a public market built from real dynasty trades. That gives us a consensus starting point for players and picks — the same kind of trade-market signal other calculators cite, without pretending we invented a secret algorithm.

Manual adjustments

On top of that market board, the maintainer publishes a curated player order and blends it with FantasyCalc. The blend weight is explicit: each player's TRYSTOMATIC value is a mix of market value and where that player sits in the hand-ranked board. Crowdsourcing can't hold an opinion; a person can — and that opinion is what the blend encodes.

Picks are different by design: they are not hand-ranked. New or unranked pick assets are appended and inherit the FantasyCalc baseline, so pick values track market consensus. If no curated player rankings are saved, everything stays at that baseline (blend weight effectively zero).

How often they update

Market values refresh when the app pulls a new FantasyCalc snapshot (admin refresh or a scheduled / on-demand data reload — not as a gimmick on every casual page view). Curated player order and blend weight change when the maintainer saves them; pick values continue to follow that market snapshot. The trade calculator uses the board for your current session. League History, Track, and Lookup freeze values and grades the first time a completed trade is ingested (or via a one-time approximate backfill), so public records do not silently rewrite when the board moves.

Trade verdicts

A verdict compares the summed TRYSTOMATIC values on each side of a trade (with grading thresholds shared across the calculator, league history, and public Track / Lookup surfaces). Labels like FAIR, WINS, or HEIST are relative to those totals — they are not win-probability or “expert picks.” Backfilled history trades show an explicit “values as of” date so approximate freezes stay distinct from live ingest.

What this is not

TRYSTOMATIC is not a projection model, injury oracle, or betting tool. Values are for settling dynasty trades and scouting leagues. Always double-check context (roster needs, draft capital, and your league's scoring) before you click accept.
